Anua went from unknown in Canada to one of the most searched Korean brands here in about two years, mostly on the strength of one toner. The range is now much wider than that, and the four lines do genuinely different jobs.

Which line is which

  • Heartleaf — Houttuynia cordata, for redness and reactivity. The 77% Soothing Toner is the one that built the brand and it is a hydrating and calming layer in one, with no acids, so it is safe on a damaged barrier. The 80% Ampoule is the concentrated version for active irritation, and the 70% Intense Calming Cream seals it. Cleansing oil and cleansing foam complete the line.
  • PDRN — salmon-derived polydeoxyribonucleotide with hyaluronic acid, in a serum and a cream. For dehydration and skin that looks flat by evening. Not vegan.
  • Niacinamide and tranexamic acid — the Niacinamide 10% + TXA 4% Serum is one of the better-evidenced non-prescription combinations for pigmentation, and it is what we point most people towards for dark spots. The Peach 70% Niacin Serum is a lighter, lower-active alternative.
  • Azelaic Acid 10% — works on redness and pigmentation at the same time, which makes it unusually useful if you have both. Gentler than most acids and generally tolerated by rosacea-prone skin.
